"Spinning Plates" ist ein New England IPA (NEIPA), das aus einer kreativen Zusammenarbeit (Collab) zwischen der Pretty Decent Beer Co. (aus London, England) und der legendären Rock-Bar/Brauerei Apollon Platebar (aus Bergen, Norwegen) entstanden ist. Die gemeinsame Liebe zu Vinyl-Schallplatten und gutem Bier stand hier Pate für den Namen.
Das Geschmacksprofil & Die Hopfen:
Das Bier zeichnet sich durch ein extrem fruchtiges Profil und ein weiches, cremiges Mundgefühl aus, das durch den Einsatz von Weizen und Hafer im Brauprozess gestützt wird. Drei Hopfensorten prägen den Charakter:
Idaho 7 Cryo (im Heißbereich): Verleiht dem Bier seine weiche, fast "kissenartige" Textur (pillowy) und sorgt für eine saftige, beerige Süße sowie tropische Noten, die an ein fruchtiges Eiskonfekt oder Solero-Eis erinnern.
Motueka & Citra (im Whirlpool / Stopfhopfen): Bringen im sogenannten Dry Hop die klassischen Zitrusnoten, einen Hauch von Limette und frische Tropenfrucht-Aromen ("tropical jazz") ins Glas.
Hintergrund: Eine ganz dezente Piniennote rundet das Profil ab, die Bittere bleibt – typisch für den NEIPA-Stil – extrem im Hintergrund.
