Das Lervig Hoppy Joe ist ein Juwel aus dem Kernsortiment der norwegischen Kreativbrauerei. Als American Red Ale schlägt es die perfekte Brücke für alle, die sich nicht zwischen der malzigen Süße eines dunkleren Bieres und der knackigen Hopfigkeit eines IPAs entscheiden können.
Es wurde ursprünglich für die norwegische Gastronomie entwickelt, hat sich aber dank seiner fantastischen Balance schnell zu einem internationalen Liebling gemausert. Das Etikett ziert passend zum maritimen Thema der Core-Range ein pfeifenrauchender Fisch am Steuerrad.

Das Besondere an einem American Red Ale (oft auch Amber Ale genannt) ist das Zusammenspiel der Rohstoffe. Lervig nutzt hier eine großzügige Menge an Karallmalzen, die dem Bier seinen tiefen Farbton und eine feine Süße verleihen. Kontrastiert wird das Ganze durch eine kräftige Portion US-Hopfen (Simcoe, Chinook und Nelson Sauvin), die eine harzige, fruchtige Frische hineinbringen.
