Optik: Tiefschwarz, blickdicht und mit öliger, dichter Viskosität im Glas. Der Schaum bildet sich meist braun bis cremefarben aus.

Aroma: Sehr intensiv und süßlich. In der Nase dominieren Röstaromen von frisch gerösteten Erdnüssen, begleitet von warmen, holzig-süßen Ahornsirup-Noten und der charakteristischen Vanille-Mandel-Würze der Tonkabohne.
