Das Space Cat der bayerischen Handwerksbrauerei Frau Gruber Brewing (Gundelfingen an der Donau) ist ein klassisch-saftiges, doppelt kaltgehopftes Double Dry Hopped (DDH) Hazy / New England IPA. FrauGruber ist bekannt für ihre treffsicheren, hopfenbetonten Bierspezialitäten und setzt auch hier auf ein samtig-weiches Mundgefühl gepaart mit intensiver Frucht.

Die Hopfenauswahl: Im Fokus stehen Mosaic (in der intensiven BBC/Lupulin-Variante) und der neuseeländische Aroma-Blend Kohia Nelson (eine Kombination aus Nelson Sauvin und neuseeländischen Passionsfrucht-Pellets).

Aroma: Sehr komplex und intensiv fruchtig. In der Nase treffen reife Tropenfrüchte (Mango, Maracuja, Ananas) auf spritzige Zitrusnoten (Limette) sowie die für Nelson-Hopfen typischen Nuancen von hellen Trauben und weißem Stachelbeerwein.

Geschmack: Dank einer Malzschüttung aus Gersten-, Weizen- und Hafermalz gleitet das Bier samtig, dicht und cremig über den Gaumen. Die intensive Saftigkeit ("Juiciness") dominiert, abgerundet durch eine ganz leichte, feine Pinien- bzw. Harznote.
